Manage and respond to requests to open positions including replacement employees and new or redefined positions. Create or redefine a position including setting the salary range, job purpose/description, reporting structure, division or cost centre, and key performance measures.


This process includes:

Open position request
To be completed by the Supervisor requesting approval to open, create or redefine a position. Ensure that the proposed position is properly defined with the key information to make an informed decision about the position.

Job description
To be completed by the Supervisor to develop the job description in cases that the opening is for a newly created position. Human Resources will use this job description to grade the position.

Set approvals as desired.
